I wish I could be there, but I'm in Los Angeles. I saw Andre at the Ethel concert in LA recently, and we talked at length about his upcoming gig at the Monkey. At the time he already had some strong ideas about the approach he would take and I'm glad to know that it's becoming a strong reality (though I really had no doubts that he'd succeed). I also spoke to Todd Reynolds about his own experience at the Monkey. It sounds like you're doing a good thing and I hope the next time I'm in the are (perhaps July) you'll have something on. I certainly hope others will be able to and interested in following your lead and will establish venues for multichannel surround sound throughout the US. There are a number of such venues in Canada and in Europe. Last week I attended an 8-channel concert in a church here in Studio City (it was the second of a series of four such concerts). Perhaps this venue would be a suitable location for a West Coast version of Andre's surround excursions. I'll look into it. -- ______________________________________________________________ Richard Zvonar, PhD (818) 788-2202 http://www.zvonar.com http://salamandersongs.com http://ill-wind.com
