Re: basic loop equipment

I took a poke at the manual as well, and the only thing remotely resembling feedback was the 'fade out' feature. I was excited there for a moment, but at $295 at most of the places I checked, it seems a bit high... it DOES fill a niche with a large amount of storage and the ability to save loops. Might do a store demo to see just how enamored I might be with it.

I've roasted two DL4's over the last 6 years, and I'm really disappointed with the headroom of the unit. It's about 3db shy of the levels I normally put through most processors, and customer service really sucks.

I'm still quite happy with my EDP, but really like to have a floor unit as a small 'out the door' option. I'm tempted to check out the DL20 with it's 23 secs (or is it 26?)

Hi,

Iīve checked the manual of the RC-20XL twice but I didnīt find any clue about adjusting "feedback" of a loop?! How did you do feedback control?

Hello and welcome!

I would suggest the Boss RC-20XL...it is affordable ($~250 or so), easy to
use, and if you wish to experiment further, it has feedback control.

Plus, there is 16 minutes of loop time available.

Be careful! I started looping as a way to learn scales and soloing, too. Now
I own 3 different loopers and a laptop!! LOL It's habit-forming...

I am a BEGINNER guitar player. Wanted to play 12 bar blues and then hear
that while I learn to play solos.  I was thinking about cassette 4 track
recorder...but then saw stuff about guitar effect pedals with loops.

What's the best way to do what I want to do? I just want a practice
tool---not a mega-recording station or something like that.  Thanks!
