  I would add to Rick's cogent comments about producing gigs-Every place 
has 
bored people wanting to be entertained.Which really means they want their 
attention to be taken up so that they forget their troubles and ruts for a 
little while.  It's incredibly refreshing to be in the moment for a moment.
