EDP crashing on RAM shortage?

Hi,

The other day I was playing with my Echoplex in "Moore Loops = L9"  
mode. Pretty soon the machine stopped working, the display showing  
just "----------". I was doing some long cycles, so I thought it  
might be that the RAM segment for each loop became too small? Any  
other ideas on what it could be?
