Hmmm... In Boston, I was organizing looping-based events at the Middle East Downstairs under the name "The Loopers' Collective" starting in 1998 and running through 2000. I think we did about six or seven of them. We also did one in Rhode Island. Over several different events instrumentation included theremin, violin, bass, voice, diggeri-doo, marimba, keyboards, drums, guitar, chain-saws, band-saws, flute, video-games, hammer-dulcimer, trumpet, a small chamber orchestra, and turntables. There came a time when people seemed to be coming out of the wood work, finding me and asking to be on these events. I mention this because NONE of the people who participated and who each were loopers for several years at that point had ever heard on Loopers-Delight. They still aren't. This is a great list-group, but it represents only a very very small fraction of the "loopers" out there. The shows great fun to witness. And mostly fun to organize. :-) David Kirkdorffer ----- Original Message ----- From: <nemoguitt@verizon.net> To: <Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com> Sent: Friday, September 16, 2005 8:01 PM Subject: Re: 1st Looping Festival > >Michael Klobuchar's Chain Tape project could also be thought of as a > >multiple artist looping event.
