I've decided to one up the John Cage "ASLSP" concert Halberstadt in two different ways: Today, I created a piece of music that lasts for one sample length (of very loud noise) in 24 bit, 96 khz format. I call the piece "AFSTSP" (As FaST aS Possible) (for John Cage, Link Wray, Elliot Smith and Lou Rawls) Today, I also started the first day of performance of the Cage piece "4 minutes 33 seconds". I've remixed the piece and I am calling it the "4 trillion years, 33 billion days MEGA Mix" I will be maximixing it to Red Book CD standards and will be releasing it as a 1.3 trillion DVD, 5.1 surround sound Box set ($450,000,000,000 on CD Baby). I've decided to use only the best acid free stock for the 50,000 page liner notes which will, of course, be blank. Regretfully I will not live to here the turning of the first page of music in that performance but someone had to do it. TFIC (Tongue Firmly In Cheek), Rick
