But for Apple, the iTunes Music Store isn't designed to make money,
but to drive sales of iPods, which are very profitable item.  Selling
digital files online has a lot of overhead.  Independent artists may
make money off of their stuff via ITMS, but it's because Apple is
subsidizing the entire venture.
