It's all relative to what you're trying to do.  I
think most people here woudl agree that the big 2
loopers are the EDP and the (discontinued) Repeater. 
While there are only a handful of units out there, the
people who have them swear that the Looperlative is
great.  Check out the "tools" page on the LD website.
