I don't know if can be applied to a stream, as when you perform music. Another good visual applications for Windows was the mp3 player Sonique, now sadly discontinued. Some user plug-ins for Sonique were just amazing - you don't get that with iTunes, but almost with Winamp. Sonique could be set to react to an audio stream, so you could actually lead an audio signal from your live rig into a PC and project the dancing graphics.
