When I lived in Paris, my apartment was above a lighting firm that 
specialised in fluorescent lighting displays. The noise interference 
made it impossible to record without random clicks appearing... :(

If you've checked your buffer size, cpu usage, latency and are using 
good quality cables, the next route to go down might be a mains filter 
to clean up the A/C into your music gear.
