Thanks, you are so kind to reply in such detail! I knew how the feature worked - just couldn't figure out any way to use it in making music - too much dead space. Now I know - I have to get another looping device!!! I've only got the one boomerang, but I'm enjoying the heck out of it. Being a former acoustiholic, I figger I better off take it one pedal at a time... tom ---- Original message ---- >Date: Thu, 30 Mar 2006 13:16:28 EST >From: Nemoguitt@aol.com >Subject: Re: Comparison chart of looping devices published >To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com > > In a message dated 3/30/06 12:28:25 PM, > tohall@rcn.com writes: > > How do you use this feature? > I've haven't as yet used it because you have to > stop the loop to > change the setting.... > > tom.....that's the bummer, you can't do this on the > fly (re: rang pitch shift) and only the upgraded > rang + allows for the several different shifts, the > original rang just gave you the octave option.....to > do this: hold the stack (speed) button down till the > red lite blinks then step on the play (stop) button > to change thru pitch options.....keep in mind that > you can go down or up in pitch depending what > setting you are in when you record i.e if you record > a loop in the regular setting and stop, then hit the > stack button, you go down an octave, if you record > with the rang in the lower octave setting then > switch over to regular you will go up an > octave.....the way i usually switch pitches is i > have other things playing, a loop on the mo-fx, some > little loops on the zoom 2100 and then you can play > like a mad man to cover up the silence of the switch > of the rangs pitch.....mic > > www.ct-collective.com > http://mysite.verizon.net/vzepmeci/ > http://www.myspace.com/klobuchar11
