E of Dufferin The PiNG presents a special All Hallow's Eve performance featuring sound sculpturist PHOLDE and the secretive surrealist sound collective SIX HEADS all bathed in light courtesy of the GENERAL CHAOS VISUALS eye candy. (Please note the early 8 pm start time.) PHOLDE @ 8:30 pm Alan Bloor (Knurl) returns as PHOLDE to bow, scrape, brush, klang and caress his self-created metal sound sculptures with other metal objects to produce thunderous, spacious soundscapes. Metal, amplified and effected. http://www.pholde.com SIX HEADS @ 9:30 pm Using a range of unusual sound sources (home-made instruments, circuit-bent electronics, toys and found objects, field recordings, etc.) and some creative live mixing and audio processing, SIX HEADS produce a dense, shifting sonic dreamscape of ambient textures, jarring juxtapositions of concrete sound and an absurd and vaguely disturbing sense of humour. Done in a single pass with no edits or overdubs, URM's Jamie Todd (also of dreamSTATE, NOiNO and SADU) takes us on a sonic journey which explores alien mutant psycho jazz, dark ambience, spacey soundscapes and sequencer driven pulse.
