Though I still think the girls are kicking the
guys asses on American Idol. Melinda's version of My Funny Valentine gave me
the chills. That girl can really belt it out.

We
watch it all the time here. The shtick amongst the judges was more fun
when it was just Simon being honest instead of intentionally irascible as he
is now (and the other two are increasingly clownish are ridiculous). But you
are so right about Melinda - not only can she belt it out, but that was the
first originally-conceived version of MFV I've heard in decades, and it was fantastic. Also,
it's quite moving to watch this humble background session singer discover
the star that she really is. Maybe I'm a soft touch, but it brought me to
tears.
