EDP Plus crashing

Hi All

   New to the list as well as the Echoplex.  Just got the EDP Plus two
days ago and in that time, the unit has completely frozen-up once, and
has spontaneously rebooted at least a half dozen times.  The reboots
have occurred when I have pressed buttons on the EFC7 foot controller.
 Is this just the nature of the beast or do I have a defective unit?
