One of the amazing deals in monitors are used Event 20/20bas. They are active, go down to about 42Hz, and are very cool to mix on. I have probably mixed a hundred records on mine, and I have buddies that have mixed several platinum albums on theirs. The best part is that in the US, you can find them used for about $300/pair.
