hey rick et al-thanks for that. this hits me where i live. i first heard that back in 'seminary'-no wait in art school back in the 60s and it means even more to me now than it did then. i was so happy when looping came along (in the early 80s for me) and allowed one person, as in all true ART, to present a complete picture of their vision or expression. along came Dave Torns loop video "Painting w. Guitar" or whatever it was called and it all fell into place. really all the greatest beauty in art/discovery/invention has come from the creative individual. not that there havent been great collaborations and combinations of talent to bring artistic merit to the fore- but it is the uniqueness of the artist that brings it full force.
