Re: im about to start a war

kilograms of ignorance here too ...
so also the macbooks (not pro, or.. pro)
can be upgraded by third partys around the world... per, rainer, europees?
it's easy to add more ram or change an internal hard drive?

just curious...
i've seen the basic macbook + the extra gig of RAM summing 2 gigs.
for 1139 euros. now with boot camp or parallels... (999 euros with 1 giga)

i think this is a serious competitor to every "good" pc notebook.

raul.

that's what I thought. I am a memory/CPU hog. There are times when I am looping, running Reaktor, and runing 2-3 intense max patches at the same time. I'm going with 4gig. More, more, more! :)

It makes a person wonder if we will ever truly "ride the wave" or "catch the curve" with respect to consumer computer purchases and a synching of hard/soft ware capability. Will anyone in the hardware development dept. ever invent and market a RAM dock? The problem of course is justifying the cost of production vs. the extremely limited & specialized demand for such a need. I would think that graphic specialists (film/design/drafting/etc.) and audio engineers alike would go gaga over the possibility of upping maxed ram two times over. I just don't possess a shred of practical knowledge that would enable me to "see" whether this is even possible or not, but the fantastic scenario is nothing short of cool to imagine. Ahhhhh...Ignorance is bliss.
