Re: EDP overdub switch kills loop feedback after one cycle

Hi Richard, perhaps it's me, but your solution here, doesn't make sense.  There ARE only 16 midi channels regardless of whatever device you're using.  So I'm not sure what's happening there.  No biggie, of course, since it seems to have solved your issue, so way cool!  :)

However, it really seems like there's something else going on here in the first place...

Can you give a more detailed note on your FCB settings and EDP settings?...

For me at least, it's not clear (could be the blonde thing!  lol!) and I'd like to help if I can...

Thanks so much and have a wonderful day!...

Smiles,

Cara  :)

everything i read said "get the edititor" when it came to programming the fcb so actually i dont know what the settings in the fcb are....other than what was in the PC editor when i sent the sysex....thats where i came up with midi channel 25 for unused fcb functions...the editor ...i believe its the one by Ed Dixon ...i think the values  were set that way by default in the editor and i assume they went with the sysex when i sent it to the fcb. when I changed those settings to channel 15 and resent the sysex everything worked.   my EDP settings i believe are default...in this learning curve i have tried to maintain the basics for my initiation...in fact the first thing i really learned was how to reset factory defaults and presets....i have walked the matrix now tho and did that with manual in hand so i understand the lingo better and have a grasp of what gets set where and what the default values are. So much to learn ...multiply and multi increase are what i perceive to be key in what i want to accomplish for performing so on with this exploration and again thanks for your help
