Re: OT converting VHS to DVD live loop performance

Rick - I use a Panasonic VHS.DVD Recorder that I picked up for about
$200 to record from video tape to DVD. The product is pretty good, and
if you have a high quality VHS tape to begin with the resulting DVD
should be fine.

Rick for short-term and least outlay I would think a service such as
these
guys http://yourmemoriesremembered.com/?gclid=CKDk78Tw7I8CFQibggodf0l2Kg
, would be the most affordable.  They came up in my Gmail as gmail will
do  when you open a specific email, kind of a built in promo search.
Anyhow looks like $15 for 30 min vhs to DVD.

I've used sim outfits here in NY.  I used to work with analog tape all
the time  and though you could set up and get hardware/sw going from
VHS deck to computer I would still think a service would save you least
$$/sweat.

Hope Ohio drum convention/siminar for all those Buddy Rich traditional
types was good, hope you shocked their world.

best

for our local television station a few years ago that

was nominated for a National Cable Access Awards for
best video (we lost but we were pretty weird compared to the
competition).   It was a really professional three camera shoot done
in real time, though it looks far more produced than that and I'm really

proud of it.

I really want to convert it to digital and be able to:

1) Make hi resolution DVDs as a promotional product for my touring  and

2)  Make lo resolution copies for streaming on my website and also at

      YouTube.com.

I don't know the first thing about making this conversion.

Can anyone on this list advice me what I need to either purchase to do
so
and/or
hip me to the least expensive way of making both of these conversions?

Thanks,

Rick Walker
