Echo are good. I have an Audiofire 2 and it is great for its
functionality. However, I did not recommend anything to your post
since I know nothing that matches your requests (less than xx$ and
four inputs). My own fav is the RME Fireface400 (two XLR with optional
48v, two line/instrument jacks plus digital ADAT/ or S/pdif available
as optical or coaxial. ADAT carries eight channels).
