best free looping software for beginner ?

Hi Loopers,

My first post.

I'm a pro musician, new to looping.
I'm getting the hang of Boss RC-20,
but I hear there is free software out there.

Went to net, but it seems like a sea of info.
Any recommendations for beginner's software
for Mac OSX 10.4.11 ?
