The max loop capacity was always 198 seconds, regardless of the version of the Loop Software installed.  It's simply a function of how much RAM is installed.  In later years, RAM prices dropped, so they all shipped with the max memory.

Good old Ebay. The unit was advertised as Mint, being used just a few hours and luckily it is. I also just found out in my research that it has the Version 4 software with 198 second loop capacity (I didn't realise that varied from different model years)
