echoplex problems

hey everyone

i'm having HUGE problems with my echoplex as of late.  i'm almost in  
a panic
because i have a bunch of gigs coming up and i've never experienced  
these
kinds of problems before.

1.  i switch between using 2 recording channels and 3  so 2L and 3L
    -sometimes i'll record something and some of my old loops will  
come back
     followed by a horrific white noise that sounds like glass  
shattering.

2.  (always had this problem)  my quantize function works MIDI pretty  
well but not
      for longer loops like 32 beats etc.  is there a way to make  
this perfectly quantized
      it gets annoying because i play with a drummer who has a click.

if anyone can PLEASE help with some trouble shooting i'll owe you big  
time!!!
