  Maybe it wasn;t Martin playing it?  Lennon and McC both played piano too. But I guess that was back when they were bouncing tracks on a stereo machine or two  so likely they would maximize (aka miximization) parts on each take. There is a book  out of the studio logs of the Beatles sessions,be interesting to see what it says for that cut.
