Re: video switcher controlled via midi (or better then midi)

A lot of video apps use key commands. So if you're trying to use your
feet to switch, you may be able to use this wireless pedal operated
keyboard. (Link below.) I use it with Livid Union to apply affects to
a live feed, switch between clips on the other channel, even apply
effects while I play but I haven't fully set it up yet. I think you
can get a third camera into union, but I know for sure you can have two.

The X-Tempo POK: http://www.x-tempozone.com/
Livid Union: http://www.lividinstruments.com/

Key commands via my feet is WAY easier to set up and use (in my
opinion) than midi. And the POK's been completely dependable in terms
of staying connected, battery life, etc., so... no wires no hassles.

Good luck. I'd love to hear what you end up going with and see a
performance once you have one posted.

(I'm still a ways out from posting mine... probably a year before I
produce something I'd be happy posting... too many projects, but it's
coming and I will post it someday.)

Zoe Keating, if you're reading this, I'd love to know what your video
setup is like. Congratulations on your grant!!!
