Hey Loren you might have missed my for sale blurb a few weeks ago but my barely used roland, GFC50, is laid out like the midi moose with 5 preset switches and a switch to change to the next 5 presets. It also can be battery powered, run on a standard psa120 adapter, and additionally has two 1/4 jacks for bank up and down, two momentary 1/4 cc jacks and two expression cc 1/4 inch jacks on the back. Though the CC# are fixed #7 for volume,#16 for exp 2,#64 for ctl 1, and #80 for ctl 2. However this shouldn't be a problem if you can assign CC's in sooper looper. Like the Midi mouse, its small but has more real time flexibility if you want to use expression pedals, and frankly, I can't understand why any one wouldn't want to:) Bill -----Original Message----- From: Loren Claypool [mailto:looper@theclaypools.com] Sent: Monday, January 12, 2009 9:44 AM To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com Subject: Tech 21 MIDI Moose? Folks, Thanks to a little coaching from Jesse, I got my GI-20 working as a MIDI control for SooperLooper running in Ableton Live on my Mac. Works great and I'm in the game. Can say enough good things about SooperLooper! I'm looking for fewer moving parts, though, for performance. Also looking for something that's reasonably priced, small, and tough. And I'm not averse to using the mouse and keyboard for some of the functions in the software. Basically looking for record/overdub and undo as a minimum set of pedal functions, add will add others as real estate allows. I know many folks are using the FCB1010 with the uno chip, looks good but I'm looking to go smaller. The Tech 21 MIDI Moose has caught my eye. Is anyone using this? If so, how's it working for you? Any other suggestions? Thanks, Loren Claypool genre-indifferent instrumental guitar music www.lorenclaypool.com www.myspace.com/lorenclaypool
