OK folks, this is just a suggestion, I'm not very familiar
with the Boss gear.

Given that software may be a good alternative, let's look at the hardware

How about we say,
Start from the top of the list and buy the first one you can afford

DL4 £240 (maybe £200)
SMM & Hazari £145
RC-20XL £140 (maybe £125) + psu
Headrush £140 +psu (maybe £120)(it's gone up! used to be <100)
DD-7 £120 + psu
RC-2 £90 + psu

Maybe the list varies according to local prices.

Maybe I missed someone's favourite.
(well, I missed Michael's suggestion of 2 tape decks, but I assume
we're looking at being able to tap in the looptime)

...or perhaps just got the wrong order there.

Maybe we can knock some of those off the list altogether to simplify.

Suggestions?

Just looking at artists who manage to put a show together with just one
looper,
the DL4 and RC-20XL presumably should be near the top of the list.
