Thanks, Luis.
Regarding your question: I don't know where you read that ;). Fact is,
I have been considering switching my entire musical framework away
from what I use now (basically Ableton Live as a software mixer/VST
host with Mobius as the main looper and a bunch of other VST/Live
effects) to something more flexible, and while I've been thinking
about using PureData, I've yet to even start doing a first setup of
it.

The reason for that idea is that with the change from my slightly more
song-oriented live programme (working title "loop4life"), which I did
at the Y2k6loopfest and also on my "Weird Specialist" album, to the
trombone-centered programme (working title "Rübezahl"), as found on my
"Wie groß ist die Luft ?" album from my last tour [see the jamendo
link below for these albums], a lot of the functions provided by
Ableton Live are no longer of use to me and, on the other hand, the
flexibility in automation, routing and processing which is promised by
more "abstract" platforms like MAX/MSP or PureData is lacking in Live.

To cut a long story short: this is rather a big step to take - perhaps
later on ;). But in the meantime, I wait for the release of Live 8,
which seems to contain some functionality of MAX/MSP, so this may just
be the step in between for me.

I'm curious myself: while I've noticed you as an EDP user in the past,
just recently you had a lot of trouble with IEEE1493 and the like -
have you moved to Mobius as well?

Cheers,

              Rainer
