re: looping shoes

In the 80's  I used to use Capezio dance shoes
for really rapid single bass drum rolls.

They still make them and they are very simple
with very thin soles...........excellent for playing footpedals.

Just go to their Capezio website.
On their clearance page, they have a pair of black ones that are only  $20
(but only in sizes that go up to an 8 for men's which is my size but 
pretty small)
