Hi folks, I've posted two video pieces taken from a recent live performance with I did with a serendipitous revival of The Leap of Faith Trio, Leap of Faith was a long term project (usually a trio) with Glynis Lomon, cello and vocals, and Dave Peck, reeds. For this set, Glynis and Dave were joined by myself on video mixing and Noam Senders, percussion, neys, and vocals. A lot of the imagery used in Industrial Song comes from subject matter that is not normally thought of as 'beautiful'. The same holds for a lot of the timbres that Leap of Faith uses in their music. We are all interested in exploring the beauty to be found in unlikely places -- be it junk by the railroad tracks or audio textures created by extended musical technique. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L8-0YHD9Sc Abstract Journey is an excerpt from the same live performance -- The video is derived from images taken of many different subjects, and includes many images of flowers and birds, transformed to match the abstraction of the musical improvisations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OkcJgwbq2w BTW Some of my photography can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/22231918@N06/collections/72157603627170351/ -- " Practice makes perfect, imperfect is better." -- Paul Bley Emile Tobenfeld, Ph.
