The Ensoniq DP/4+ is the most useful and versatile for guitar, it has 
a 1/4" input on the front panel,  great amp simulations and ring mod 
/ delay / harmonizer /compressor algos for pre processing and lush 
reverbs for post. 4 in 4 out, full MIDI control of all parameters.
