This review may explain what's so special with the Mac application Numerology: http://www.maclife.com/article/reviews/five12_numerology_20 I thought some on this list might be interested, since Numerology offers in sequencing the same real-time experience that we look for when turning to looping devices. The original aim for Numerology was to offer real-time music creation and control by designing and controlling sequencer modules driving midi sound modules - but you might as well "abuse" Numerology to mangle MIDI control data for a hosted software looper and that's quite exciting IMHO. You can certainly set up control sequences in Ableton live and Bidule (using its step sequencer) but what you can only do in Numerology is to endlessly live tweak these control sequences. Related to "doing substitute stuff on the edp" but with some bells and whistles. Greetings from Sweden Per Boysen www.boysen.se www.perboysen.com
