Pish posh indeed Sir!!

I hate NON instrumental music.. I put up with songs, cos most best music is covered in singing... Lyrics.. GOD.. dont get me started.. maybe when I was 18 I though it was romantic to sing about love, rebellious to sing about Politics and Cool to sing about Death... but er... I was wrong! Songs are almost always CRAP... (Beatles Songs exception, Tom Wait lyrics also) Of course Pop music usually HAS to have some dumb singer warbling ontop, and some are ok to listen to as an instument... (I love the Lydon sneers, I love the Beefheart coughs, I love the Cocteau elvish..)


Every thing you say is true however, about MOST PEOPLE listening to only songs... but... wait a goddam minute... isnt Hip Hop Instrumental music... you cant really call Rapping singing... its poetry.. so Maybe MOST people are listening to Poety nowadays... Personally Im into Keats rather than.. (insert current rap artist of choice)
