Daryl, There is also a great concert DVD with Rypdal, Vitous and Trilok Gurtu available: <http://www.abstractlogix.com/xcart/product.php?productid=21145> I own a copy . . . and watch it from time to time. BTW Odyssey is just about my least favorite Rypdal recording - and I own them all (and everything he's been a sideman on too). It's a very early solo effort and not his best (IMOHO) though I don't "hate" it as you did. I think I still like it because I hear it in a 1975 context - a time during which I was 22-23 and just discovering ECM jazz. Different strokes.
