Re: Where do you place Reverb(s)? Pre/Post-Looper?,

i think the rule is: there is no rule.
it's what sounds good to you.

if you think of most multi-effects devices they go: wah/compression option--amp/distortion--modulation option--delay option--reverb option...

but some effects boxes are very programmable and you can put things in whatever order you like.. i don't have any of those, but i do have:

three (3) multi-effects in my chain: adrenalinn 2, zoom g2, digitech rp150, so i've got options-i like options (i probably have too much REVERB going at once!). all of those are before my main loopers-behringer tweakalizer & boss rc20, after the loopers i have a lexicon mx200 (my main reverb) (although i should note my main glitching loops are the digitech's 5 sec of delay).

when i 1st stumbled on looping back in '01 and had my 1st multi-effects box (digitech rp100 & a dod d12 was my looper-12 sec of loops)-i loved messing around w/ the presets while setting up a loop-say a clean guitar for a bit, then a bit of some distorted guitar w/ different reverb setting, etc...i always thought it sounded cool, but back then i was recording a ton of stuff on my new to me,tascam 4-track, nowadays if i get 30 min of playing in i feel lucky!!! but all my reverb options were pre loop, and yes, it can create jarring effects, but i liked that. then when i got a digitech dsp256xl -i thought i was was in reverb heaven!!!!!
happy hunting as they say....
