hi Michael, The only device that could do that in a way that people liked was the now obsolete Repeater ( I can't say I personally endorse that feature, it *was* somewhat unusual sounding). Otherwise the sound of the time stretching is usually not good enough for anyone. Best way is to have a looper that allows instant re-record, and then re-play the line a bit faster. (RC-50 doesn't handle that well either afaik, but I think it's possible to start re-recording with 2 button presses). If you don't mind the pitch increasing with the tempo, there's a couple of options out there.
