Another option is to try CC commands instead.
The liquid certainly seems to have a "momentary"
option for those, designed to keep an effect switched
on while you hold the switch down.

page 64 in the manual (and maybe some earlier pages)
tells how you can just program in a CC value (same as EDP
note number)
and have the switch send 127 on that CC on press, and 0 on
release.

hope you get looping,soon

But as i said its only working for the virtual
comands

crazy!

huh, 62 General reset *is* a Direct Midi.
..and that's a "voila"

Hi Andy im still having problems with this and i dont
know if its me or the controller but i need to know
otherwise i think im going to return it.
heres the deal, why is it that the behringer functions
perfectly and this one doesnt? on the behringer i just give
the note number regardless if its a virtual midi or direct
midi and it works!
with the liquid foot only the virtual ones work but i
cannot get "general reset" (62) or any of the other ones to
work! ive tried everything, setting the switch
momentary,stomp tap tempo etc.

Is it possible that you mean other Direct Midi's
aren't
working?
If they were SUS commands then that makes sense,
and ties
in with
your observation that longpress on Record (to give
Reset)
isn't working.

all im entering is the note number and the data value
of 127 and nothing else!
But i have discovered something:
when i reset the echoplex by holding and pressing the
record button ,then when i send the general reset comand
from the liquid foot it seems to triger it,but then when i
use the record button it doesnt work anymore!it also seems
to put the edp in a weird mode, that is when i try to reset
it by holding and pressing th record button it seems as if
it was locked and then i press it a second time and it
resets, any ideas? ive been even thinking of sending it to
you so you can check it out but i dont know if that would be
ok with you, plus you could do a comparison between the
gordius and this one;-)
thanx for your always great help man i really
apreciate it!

My guess is that your controller is sending
Note-On/Note-Off pairs on
pressing the switch, not waiting for you to
release it
before sending the Note-Off.

So, the Direct Midi SUS commands will not be
audible.
(e.g. SUS Reverse would reverse for such a small
time that
you wouldn't perceive it)

I had a look at the manual for your controller,
it
describes a number
of "button modes".
One of those is "Momentary while Holding"
....that's what you want.
(or whatever causes the Note-Off to be sent as
you
*release* the switch)

tried that but nothing either...
hope that helps

what Per said for the DirectMidi.

They only require Note-On (except
for
SUS)
To get the longpress(to make reset
work)
I'd try
changing
the Button Mode to "Momentary
while
Holding".

I don't understand where you
entered
"64".

hi gang,
i just got the litte liquid
foot midi
controller and
im having a hard time controlling
the EDP
as i did
with the
behringer.
So far ive manage to program
the
virtual
functions
like
record
overdub
multiply
mute
undo
next
reverse
half speed

the way i have to do this is
giving
the "note
on"
offset number and a value of 64
and it
works
fine.
However when i try to program
any of
the e
DirectMidi
functions it does not respond at
all,do i
have to
send
additional comands for them to
function? i
recall
on the
behringer fcb1010 i just gave the
note
number and
it
worked.
The otherr thing that is not
working
is
erasing the
loop by holding and pressing the
record
button.
Anyway if u midi experts could
take a
little
time to
help me id be really thankfull!
here is the liquid foot jr
manual:
