Thank you Eric and Clifford for your help - much
appreciated! The noises on my track are a failed attempt to get some rhythm
going whilst bashing various bits of the instrument - I'd be better off beat
boxing!

horn
I like the ambient track. The clicks sound like they are meant
to be rhythmic.
I'd go for option a. No way on computers and finding
another musician while best is least dependable and flexible. As far as how
you route it you are best to experiment and see. If the mixer has an aux send
you might try it there as well. You will discover a lot once you get it set up
and begin to see how you want to work. There is an incredible wealth of
experience here on this list if you have more questions later. As far as
loopers go- when I started I got an original Jam Man by Lexicon which was nice
and simple. There are MANY choices now- Line 6 DL4, the Digitech and Boss
pedals which I have never used- etc.
Also, check out Tom Heasley's
work- ambient tuba- great stuff. http://www.tomheasley.com/

Clifford
