RE: Acoustic Looping Rig

I loop vocals and acoustic. I use a peavey pv6 (non-usb version) mixer with a boomerang. I send to the 'rang via the aux/effects send but return it to it's on mixer channel instead of the aux/effects return.  gives a bit more control over the loop sound.  works great and the mixer is mounted on my pedal board with the boomerang and some effect pedals (octave, phaser and delay). hope that helps.

I'm pretty much a lurker here, but enjoy everything I get a chance to read - this is an awesome online community!

I am in the process of assembling a small acoustic looping rig for gigs and open mics  and thought I'd bounce my plans off you guys for advice and opinion.

My planned rig will be:

 Vocals + Guitar
        |
        v
Behringer 802 Mixer
        |
        |  Pre-Fader AUX Out
        v
    Line 6 M9
        |
        v
      Tuner
        |
        v
Digitech JamMan Solo
        |
        |  AUX Return
        v
      Mixer
        |
        v
    Amp / FOH

I think my only point of concern right now is the mixer - I have the Behringer 802, but have thought about a smaller footprint and/or simpler solution.

My end goal here is portability... I will use for band gigs, but I also want to be able to quickly plug in as a participant in open mics, assuming this all is in a small pedalboard.

My plan in the latter case is hop on-stage and quickly route the house mic through my rig, plug in my guitar and then use the existing house guitar connection as my mixer's out to the FOH (and with that comes a whole other set of issues in making sure everything is at proper volume levels).

Make sense?   Any recommendations, advise, criticisms?

Thanks!
