I'm happy with my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 - I chose it for the mic preamps more than anything else.  Good value for the price.

I personally use an M-Audio Fast Track Pro USB interface. I want to get a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP though, for its routing/effects options. Most USB/Firewire interfaces have useable in/out, the biggie is obviously the Preamp.

At home I use an iMac, Logic and a Mackie Onyx 1220 This works fine for at home. The firewire connection pretty much eliminates problems with latency, but it is way to bulky to carry around and a PITA to set up and take down.

What do you computer loopers use for getting sound into your computers and then back out?
