interesting conversation is funny also how many people feel or count the typical chicago blues is 4/4
though it make sense,drummers also start with the drum sticks counting 1,2,3,4 and not 1,2,3,4,5,6
maybe that was the genuis in chuck berry,mayb he couldnt stand watching the white folks dance 6/8 in 4/4 so he turned 6/8 into 4/4 and named it johnny b. goode:-)

There is a definite "feel" of 2 as in the 2 measures alternating even though the song is obviously in three beats per measure. The rythm in each measure is so fast that a measure can easily be felt as a beat, hence the "feel" of a slow 2. This is typical of many songs that use this kind of "feel", which is what I think Fabio was referring to.

I met a guy while performing in Ocala Florida who called me over after I had finished "The Wreck Of The Edmond Fitzgerald". He told me he was on call at the Search & Rescue station in WhiteFish Bay when the S.O.S. was recieved. He told me that when his ship tried to exit the bay they were encountering 90 waves & they weren't even able to get out of the bay. He also told me that the signal only lasted about 5 to 10 minutes before it was cut off & that the opinion from the guys in the know at the station was that the ship had probably tried to turn into the storm so it would blow them back towards the bay but the waves were so strong the ship had more than likely been snapped in half like a twig. This was several years before the ship was found in that condition. It was definitely a strange moment to talk to this guy after having done that song for so many years.
