LOL :-) The EDP also introduced "Substitute" that I think does it in a more useful way; waiting to the next loop round until starting to play back the new slices recently cut into the loop. Then the audience won't hear the old loop layer duck off as you play the part that is cut into the loop, sounds more seamless to my ears.
