No, but what an awesome band name! But as a matter of fact I played a live looping impro gig in 1987 (!) at the same festival where Bobby Gillespie bashed the skins in Jesus and Mary Chain. They sounded great! Some other indie bands I like in the eighties, except for the ones you mentioned, are Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Kowalski! Speaking about the great producer Conny Plank i'd like to flash Hunters And Collectors as well. Especially their early recordings. No need mentioning Cabaret Voltaire I guess... ;-))) Oh, and the first stuff put out by Sisters of Mercy was.... sorry; must stop here - the list of great 80's indies never end... mhmpf..----> Sonic Youth!! HELMETTTTTTT!!!!!! Woa, when I saw Helmet live their bass player wore his bass guitar knee level low and attacked every down beat note by sliding the axe to his right and letting it bounce on the head. THAT sounded so awesome you never bothered whether the bass was in tune or not. The man looked like an orangutang with a jazzbass. Woopsy - out of here! p
