RC-50 To Mac +SuperLooper

I've been using an RC-50 + a drum machine for my loop playback.  I'm thinking of selling the RC and using my MacBook and SuperLooper + midi foot control as a replacement.  The RC-50 is a pain in the ass and I also need some $$.  It would be nice to have an easier live looping rig.
 
Any advice or warnings on how this might work/fail? 
 
It's a 13" Intel MacBook 1.83 core 2 duo
