New video on You Tube

Hi folks,

I've posted a video that I am especially happy with on You Tube --
the result of a long-distance collaboration with Robert Arkins, a
composer based in Dublin who contacted me on-line. Robert's vision is
that the piece will be performed by a primarily acoustic ensemble of
musicians from behind the screen where the video is projected.

The soundtrack heard here is an electronic realization of the piece.
It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with this music -- I
consider the electronic version to be a fine piece in its own right,
and am curious to hear what it is intended to sound like. The music
is influenced by (among others) early American Minimalism and a style
called Spectralism, which (as I can best describe it) explores the
nature of sound.
