Howdy,

 Have you seen the book by Nicholas collins, "Handmade Electronic Music? 
It covers quite a bit of ground as far as video on sound/sound on video, 
etc. It may give some more insight as to what you are doing. It's worth 
the price alone just for the simple electronic sound circuits made with 
Cmos computer type chips. It also covers things to do with electret mics, 
peizos, video sythesizers from toys, game controllers etc. Definately 
worth checking out. Be sure to get the 2nd edition.
