EDP, DirectMIDI, quant, 8ths

I am discovering that LoopIV in the EDP does not seem to have a way to directly  control 8ths/Cycle, Quantize, or SwitchQuant.

How are you folks controlling these params with your MIDI controllers?

I found this nugget on LD...

The excel spreadsheet (

all midi commands but wont give you the commands to switch quantize on/off 
on the edp.(it is on the LD site

Is this part of the solution ? Does this code somehow add the ability to control Quant values with direct MIDI? SysEx frightens me...
