Re: Old Guitar Synths (was Re: Roland gr55)

Its pretty sought after you know? It has all analog circuitry and has the famous MS-20 filter. Its well known from the 80´s as being a good effect for drum-machines. I used to trigger it from a trig source on an old analog sequencer, but allowed the guitar to handle the pitch, this way it played in perfect time with the track, but with less than accurate pitch, but very cool nevertheless. Also if the trigger was a gate signal, in a rythym, you could do trance-gate (audio tremelo) effects on the guitar, a bit like the Boss slicer pedal of today.

I dont have any spare money right now, but I might have offered you alot for it if I did!

Yeah, that's the one. Had to get a magnifying glass out to read the model number.
It tracked pretty well for what it was, as I recall. You could even sing into it.
Just pulled it out and plugged it in for the first time in 25(?) years.
