loopers - midi

hey guys,
 
i now have an electronica duo with a viola player. he would like to use a hardware looper on stage. we will have beats and other sounds coming from the laptop. everything should be synched to midi clock.
 
what loopers would you recommend that has a stable midi clock - to be used as slave - decent sound quality, under 500 usd?
