You know, maybe youve hit a bit thing there- as far as 'duration' as it relates to form. Looping by nature involves repetition as a compositional tool- and Ambient could be the approach of making music to fit a longer form, perhaps (or maybe thats where it has ended up.) Incorporating environment into a piece requires not just space- but consistency in form, tone, tonal (or nontonal) devices.

So whats the stuff that would fit a categorization of 'busy ambient'? or 'dense ambient'?
